Despite the reading you have shown me today, I promise to work harder each and everyday. Weighing yourself and falling below your expectations is a result viewed in your reflection. Mirror..mirror go away, you are not my friend today. I ponder on all the things I've done right, then remember everything I ate that added pounds to my weight. Maybe I don't understand my anatomy or not having a realistic goal is defeating me.

One day at a time, no matter what the sun will continue to shine. I will not allow this scale to control my smile, but I will work at loving me, for the real me. I just want to be healthy and reward my effort to look the best I can. I believe success starts with a plan, a plan towards a great new man. I've lost over 11 lbs and counting, becoming more active has been an attractive thought, but found in the proof is weight loss is an ability we can all touch in a positive way. Medically for some people who have a problem with weight loss, still fight to have a healthy heart. Today can be your start.....

Cheers to a healthier life style and making positive decisions that yield a better YOU.

Star Searching ~SP~

The next time you look up at the stars and wonder where life will lead you, remember who is in control of your life. YOU! Never forgot that each day we rise, life presents to us choices to make that ultimately dictate the direction of our wind. As you may know the wind is able to change its course of direction at will, so why can't we? Instead of investing time in the past, our failed paths and poor choices made, why not give life to new roads waiting to be cemented? Now I find myself in control of each decision I make, searching for the best choices and not being satisfied with any CHOICE, but the right choice. I control the direction of my wind, now you must control yours!

Don't cheat yourself!

Don't cheat yourself out of the success, happiness and peace of mind you deserve. Life provides in it the tools for us to attain. Through attainment keep in mind sacrifices must be made, commitments must be met and time must be managed. You control your destiny, why not make your journey worthwhile!

Don't Create A Monster!

Emotional control is vital for personal growth. To be able to sort through and understand a vast amount of emotions, one must be willing to challenge "SELF". The closer you become to understanding "Who you are?", happiness will become more attainable on a daily basis. Do you want to be happy? Are you willing to over come self doubt? It's important to feed our positive emotions with a self awareness in recognizing the things that make us happy. Recognize the people who make you smile, the things you do that put a smile on your face and the dreams you sleep with at night that bring peace to your heart. Don't create a monster! When you feed emotions with negativity, fury or without a soul you are creating a monster within. A monster feeding on every nerve, vein, bone, brain, physical well-being, emotional and mental health. A monster that feeds on pity, anger and loss of confidence. A monster that will essentially take over your state of mind and grow as much as you allow it to.

Emotional control is vital for personal growth. Understand your emotions. What has created your emotions? Something good or bad? A memory, experience or sentiment? It's alright to feel down, express yourself to others you trust and release the pain. Allow negative emotions to exit your system. Find your support group. A relative, friend or anyone you know that you feel comfortable around to speak with at any time. Emotions will challenge us everyday. The key is to determine who will win today's battle? You or your emotions? When your emotions get the best of you, stop, breathe and gather yourself. Life is more than a frown. Don't create a monster! Live. Love. Laugh.

We live in a society and world that challenges us on a daily basis. Rising above each and every obstacle thrown our way may feel overwhelming at times. We ponder questions like "Do I have the strength, courage or will to fight"? Ability to win and soar tomorrow? Sometimes life travels at a pace where we find it hard to catch our breath. We wonder what challenges are next to conquer? Can I ever catch a break? Why me? Life isn't fair? But learn to accept these obstacles. Life is about making adjustments and learning to acquire the answers unknown to us today. If tomorrow is within our grasp, then we have learned what today's obstacles have allowed us to achieve. A foundation only remains solid if the right ingredients are cemented together. Rise above yesterday's failure, today's confusion for clarity tonight. Wake up tomorrow and look at everything you set your eyes on with a different view. You will slowly start to see that if you rise above all, life through new heights presents a clear road map towards success, happiness and peace. RiSe.

A balance act

Life is about maintaining balance. Understanding the equilibrium between good and evil. Achieving peace, harmony, and an open mind to a world that infiltrates our judgement on a daily basis is far from perfection, but indeed manageable. Control your actions, reach your dreams, and overcome tribulations by reaching a balance today! Discover your strengths, understand your weaknesses, and grow from each experience. Good or bad every experience provides growth. Failing to learn from either outcome will continue to provide the same results. You decide your fate!

Good-bye Kisses

Far from my lips you no longer keep them moist. You woke up one morning, and chose to walk right out my life. Gone are the days of  locking lips through kisses so sweet, and sincerely missed. As Stephen King inspires through his novels a reader to rush towards the next chapter to see what details are awaiting an anticipated reader. Such is the same for a kiss that no longer awaits us, says good-bye, and a new love is our next chapter in life. Good-bye kisses are never easy, but one thing remains to never be forgotten..."Love has a way of finding those who love, love right back".

A road can curve at any time

A simple thought, vision, or goal is as complex as we make them out to be. How soon we achieve our desired results is going to come down to one key component. This key component can be the difference between success and failure. "Consistency" one word, but the result of actions unlocked over and over again. Consider success like a straight road with no dead ends. As far as you continue on this path successfully is the experience, wealth, excitement, fun, gratitude, and most importantly these consistent behaviors practiced will allow you to travel limitless. Now let's look at failure like a road that curves and runs into a dead ends. This can be a result of not being able to take your vision and expand its horizons. A lack of faith that does not let you see your will within to continue to be consistent. "Consistency" is the result of a behaviors practiced more than once. In order to lose weight, earn a new job, save up for your favorite vacation trip, or read 50 books in one year is a result of "Consistency". Act as if you will conquer or fail, because you do not allow your ship to sail. Find your straight road and allow your journey to travel far.

Moments you would love to freeze in time.....

Upon picking up my daughter at daycare today she gave me a different kind of a smile. A smile that was so rare through my eyes that I wish I could freeze her smile from that moment forever. A "In the moment smile" . Her smile captured her heart beat that drummed to the acknowledgement of my arrival. She replied " Daddy I'm so happy to see you" ....."I've missed you. I always miss you, but love how you make me smile when I see you" .......Love the feeling of being able to bring that type of joy to my daughter who is an owner of my heart and soul.......

"It began with one thought"

It began with one thought that my vision through words correlated embodied a warm heart's sentiment. Each word bridged the unity of sentences compounded with nouns, verbs, adjectives, and pure creativity. Married to a sheet of college ruled paper was the ink that captured every stroke of my heart's whispers. Understanding how all this became possible I knew one thing was for certain. It began with one simple thought, and thus a poet was born. Forged together were two words that would forever capture my contributions to poetry, my creativity, and my heart's voice. SIMPLY POETIC

"Time has brought me YOU"

Timing! Life in itself is an actual roller coaster we ride for free on a daily basis. I have rode my share of ups and downs, but her I am today still smiling, living and making life sweeter than yesterday's glass of tea. She adds life to my smile and her beauty grows fond in my heart each passing day. Unknowingly of the path that leads beyond tomorrow I can say though in this very moment I'm happy, I'm smiling and I'm great.

"Above and Beyond where I stand today"

Standing above higher ground allows you to see how much you have risen, grown and learned from yesterday. Today we must continue to build on our successes and look beyond tomorrow. Tomorrow will come sooner than you expect and it is better to be proactive than reactive. Failure means you at least tried! Success means you never stop trying!

My cup of tea

Success is no different than having great values. The more you invest into being successful you are a product, reflection or mirror image to all the hard work invested in YOU. Great values are a testament of family morals achieved from an early age and progressed through the development of self conscious behavior. Achieving great values ties into success and once again the invested time placed in both. As a hot cup of tea remains warm upon its serving, so will the success and continued values of a heart that remains warm.

Window view

After tossing and turning in the middle of the night I finally decided to wake up. It was I and the darkness that stared each other in the eye. In order to pass time my mind began to wander and dreams began to flash upon the darkness as if a projector were playing my thoughts, dreams or visions. I stood up and walked over to the window only to forever remember this night. My dreams were so vivid and the night's sky was perfectly set. Stars aligned in unison glazing bright painting my dreams. A dream among dreams that reminded regardless of age, gender or stage of life when clarity is upon us we can make anything a reality. From a window view I'm still collecting those stars I remember far off is the distance and making my dreams a reality. I might not be able to make every dream come true, but at least I know I'm fighting for something.

"FLY"

Over rainbows and above the clouds we can all fly. Fly above the negativity and don't allow difficult challenges to keep you from attaining what you sought to seek in the first place. A first place mentality is about WINNING! If you want it, breathe it, live it, then you GOT IT!

Puzzle Pieces....

Life is a compilation of puzzle pieces scattered throughout the world, country, state or city. As we grow into our adult life we search for puzzle pieces that connect to our individual journeys. These puzzle pieces accumulate over time and we are left with a blueprint of evidence gathered. As archaeologist of our own lives it is important to never lose sight of data attained, recognize puzzle pieces that do not fit our equation and use tactics to hurdle over road blocks. Life wasn't meant to be easy, but sometimes we are guilty of making our own lives harder when we fail to analyze ourself. I encourage myself all the time to remain confident, strong and believe that I'm only a few pieces away from creating my own masterpiece. A puzzle may only be a few pieces away from success to endure, happiness to follow, joy to appreciate and love to treasure. Each day allows us the opportunity to start our journey all over again. Keep your dreams alive and search for your puzzle pieces that will make you happy to assemble together. Destiny is the pursuit of happiness achieved!

Face Off

Their are moments in our life when we have to face ourselves in the mirror. We must be willing to accept our actions or inaction's in order to grow from every experience lived. Instead of allowing discouragement to settle in your heart or infiltrate your mind remember to push forward. Success is not only won on the battle field, but also won within every heart beat archived in our lifetime.
